Appointed by J. Roger Preston Limited, AEC provides comprehensive green and healthy building certification consultancy services covering China Green Building Label, LEED and WELL Building Standard throughout design, construction and operations. A gap analysis on BREEAM was also conducted.

AEC served as the green building consultant to help Westlake 66 achieve the Three-star rating in China Green Building Label. The development also completed the LEED pre-certification, in which two of the towers earned LEED Platinum pre-certification from U.S. Green Building Council.

To turn this high-end development into an eco-friendly and healthy environment, a range of sustainable building design features have been adopted. In terms of energy conservation, more than 80% of potable hot water used in the hotel was provided by an air source heat pump to make good use of renewable energy. Electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) were installed to promote the use of green vehicles. When it comes to materials safety, newly installed furniture, flooring and insulation materials strictly comply with VOC emissions thresholds.

Developed by Hang Lung Properties Limited, Westlake 66 is situated at the prime location of Hangzhou’s central business district. This mixed commercial development has a total gross floor area of 244,653 square meters and will be developed into a high-end commercial complex, comprising a world-class shopping mall, five Grade A office towers and a luxury hotel, as a landmark of Hangzhou. It is planned for completion in phases from 2024.
