Kwai Chung Hospital Day Recovery Centre, an AEC project, has received the Quality Building Award (QBA) 2020, a biennial award established to celebrate and offer public recognition to buildings of outstanding quality and excellent teamwork.

This project won the Merit Award in the Hong Kong Non-residential (New Building – Government, Institution or Community) category. AEC served as a BEAM Pro to deliver comprehensive green building certification consulting services, and was engaged as an acoustic consultant to provide acoustic design and assessment in support of the BEAM Plus certification. The project has achieved the BEAM Plus New Buildings V1.2 Final Gold in 2020.

Co-organized by nine leading professional institutions of the building and construction sector in Hong Kong, QBA aims to recognize the highest quality building projects and promote the advancement of Hong Kong’s building industry.
